As our lead Data Scientist, come and help us ensure that organisations look far and wide, considering people they might otherwise overlook; and people are aware of the careers open to them irrespective of their background. 

Help us change the world by putting powerful decision making algorithms in the hands of employers and candidates. Working with the support of the Technology team, you will reporting into the CEO and Product Manager.

You will also receive support, work collaboratively and have the opportunity to learn from experienced external data scientists and academics.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and lead on building new models
  • Maintain and update existing machine learning models, then make any improvements or upgrades.
  • Turn statistical and computational analysis into user-friendly graphs and charts.
  • Create insightful data visualisations that highlight trends.
  • Ensure liaison between the data scientist team and other departments and resources (including software development, product management, and occupational psychology).
  • Work with existing resources on extraction of data from various databases and prepare the data in a in a machine learning ready format.

Knowledge and experience with Data Science techniques including, but not limited to:

  • ML model building: algorithm selection, model evaluation/cross-validation, model optimization
  • Natural Language Processing (NLP)
  • Deep learning, tensorflow and Artificial Intelligence including word embedding and neural networks
  • Experience with model production and deployment phases
  • Database storage/management
  • Collection, exploration, cleaning and formatting of data for Machine Learning (ML) applications
  • Proficiency with python and scikit-learn
  • Ability to work in a Linux environment
  • Evidence of problem solving skills

We will consider varying levels of experience.

Education and other experience

  • Bachelor or Masters of Science or Cognitive Science desirable
  • PHD desirable
  • Excellent writing and verbal communications skills
  • Leadership qualities and capability
  • Strong networker and team player
